Determining the Best-FLV vs PNGs

Well we were undecided on which to use: a png sequence or an flv. Today made my mind up. Each has plenty of benefits. If you want a low file size, then stick with a flv. The benefits of the png sequence is efficiency.

Our test for same animation with 1 flv and a png sequence

FLV size: 95kb

PNG size 1,791kb

FVL performance: Lots of lag on 200 copies

PNG performance: No(or little) lag at 400 copies

Conclusion

So our conclusion is to obviously use a png sequence rather than an flv, since we want efficiency. To deal with the extreme file size, we will increase our compression.
