100kb

// XNA 7 Day proposed an interesting contest this month. Make a game in under where everything can fit, altogether inside 100kb. It’s amazig to see how much you can put in such a small space:) Since EGP won’t give another theme until January (Art game gave us 2 months to make our entries), here’s my attempt. Space Invaders rule:)

100kb

4-day game by Alin Baciu

Instructions:

As a space invader, you have been put in charge of guarding a planet and making sure the inhabitants build you a big statue. Shoot love or hate, and try to convince them to build your statue as big as possible.

100kb is a game in under 100kb. Obviously. Actually, there’s so much space left…I only used about 1/3 of 100kb…imagine that…you can do A LOT with 100kb. more that you could even imagine:) No real content has been used (embedded or whatever). For the best playing experience, please connect to the internet to allow the game to stream it’s music, at least once. Afterwards, you should be ok. You can play the game without an Internet connection, but you might not have music.

Controls:

wasd – move

right click – shoot love

left click – shoot hate

Troubleshootting

If you have problems getting the game to run I’d suggest installing the newest DirectX 9.0c drivers, XNA 3.1 and making sure you have .net framework 3.5 installed.
